History: The Hazyview village was established in 1959 when the first post office was built. The name comes from the summer haze that envelopes the low bush land some days.
Art and Culture: For travellers interested in the local traditions, the Shangana Cultural Village on the R535 to Graskop is a great outing where Shangaan traditions can be experienced.
Science and Nature: The area is reputed to have the best climate and soil in the world for bananas. Visitors to Hazyview are very close to the major gates of the Kruger National Park, and the natural attractions of the park are quite spectacular.
